The Lighthouse of Broward is the only full-service 501(c)3 serving people with visual impairments in Broward County, Florida.  We reach over 2,500 people who are blind or visually impaired in our community annually.  We are recognized by Charity Navigator and GuideStar as having the highest ratings, showing our dedication to our mission. We take a collaborative approach, combining our knowledge and resources to help our clients toward their goals of independence, employment, and/or educational success. Orientation and Mobility Specialist

Provides sequential instruction to individuals with visual impairment in the use of their remaining senses to determine their position within the environment and in techniques for safe movement from one place to another.  Clients may or may not have additional handicapping conditions.  Clients may be of any age.
