A Letter from LHOB
Dear Friends,
Spring has arrived, and we're bursting with excitement about all the incredible things happening at the Lighthouse of Broward! This year marks our 50th anniversary, and we couldn't be more thrilled to have helped thousands of people who are blind and visually impaired achieve independence over the past five decades.
As if that wasn't exciting enough, we're also pleased to announce that we'll be moving to a brand new, state-of-the-art facility next year! Our new home will give us more space to serve even more clients and offer a wider range of programming and learning opportunities. We can't wait to make the move and start this new chapter in our history.
But the fun doesn't stop there! Our recent For the Love of STEAM event was a huge hit, with dozens of young people who are blind and visually impaired who enjoyed all kinds of fun and educational activities. We are also gearing up for our annual Eggstravaganza event on April 1st, which is sure to be a blast for the whole family.
Finally, we're excited to announce the return of our Heroes benefit concert, which had to be put on hold due to the pandemic. This year's concert features a cocktail hour, live and silent auction, and electrifying performances from Bon Jovi and Journey tribute bands and will raise funds to support our mission of helping people who are blind and visually impaired achieve their full potential. To learn more about the event and to purchase tickets, please visit www.lhob.org/heroes.
At the Lighthouse of Broward, we're proud of the work we do, and we're grateful to all of our clients and supporters who make it possible. Thank you for being a part of our community, and here's to an exciting and fulfilling spring season!
With Gratitude,
Ellyn Drotzer, MSW, LCSW
