We here at the Lighthouse of Broward are excited to offer new training opportunities for our clients beginning in the Fall of 2022! These comprehensive and rigorous programs are offered at the Lighthouse through partnerships with Blind Institute of Technology (BIT) and World Services for the Blind (WSB).
These courses offer our dedicated and passionate clients a pathway to career and financial stability. Courses will be offered on-site facilitated by LHOB. Instructors are certified in their field. These engaging and relevant options include:
Salesforce Administration (BIT)
20-week course to become a Salesforce Administrator. Thousands of job openings throughout the country with average salaries upwards of $70,000
Assistive Technology Instruction (WSB)
Learn to teach assistive technology to people who are blind or visually impaired
Credit Counseling (WSB)
Learn to help others achieve financial literacy and help them achieve their financial goals
Medical Coding and Billing (WSB)
As the medical world moves away from pen and paper into digital records, the need for medical billing and coding specialists will continue to rise
Call Center Specialist (WSB)
This course will help you gain confidence in providing excellent customer service through training that goes beyond phone and computer skills
Microsoft Office Specialist (WSB)
In an office environment, excellent skills in using MS Office is essential
