Dear Lighthouse friends & supporters,

On October 28, 2017; the Lighthouse of Broward hosted its annual Fall Festival, at the Sunrise Athletic complex; and I must say that it surpassed all the rest. Approximately sixty children and their families attended, ready to indulge in the winsome fun and to partake in Halloween's most loved tradition, (eating candy).

There was a DJ, a bounce house, pizza, trick-or-treating, spooky party favors, Pumpkin decorating, contests…There were even costumes to liven up the autumn festivities, from the children and staff respectively.

Our expert staff, along with LHOB supporters, put away their business casual, in favor of dressing up in their Halloween best. Some of them were witches; some of them were mice; some of them were Star Wars characters; some of them were Superheroes; some of them were Sailors; some of them were Emoji’s: we even had a football theme, with cheerleaders, a quarterback, and an Umpire, to add some “All American Fun” to the event. It was truly a grand time for all.

I would like to thank Royal Caribbean, McKinley Insurance Services, and Division of Blind Services; in conjunction with our Lighthouse families; volunteers; and staff, (particularly Cindy and Alyssa), for putting together a marvelous day for everyone. I hope that you will all join us again in 2018; and that your costumes are just as colorful as the ones from this year.

Please contact me if you have any questions about contributing to the Lighthouse of Broward.
